Congregation of Philippi

One mind

Congregation of Philippi was urged to behave worthily of the gospel of the Messiah, which meant stand fast in one spirit and one soul. Believers must also strive together in the faith of the gospel. This world tries always to harm a real gospel, that's why believers must fight with Spirit of love and truth on behalf of a gospel. Not being terrified in anything by those who oppose, but love them in truth and by that way win them to Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah.

Then if there is any comfort in the Messiah, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, believe the same, having the same love, one in soul, minding the one thing, doing nothing according to party spirit or self-glory, but in humility, esteeming one another to surpass themselves; each not looking at their own things, but each also at the matters of others. For let this mind be in you which also was in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus), who subsisting in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, having become in the likeness of men and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, having become obedient until death, even the death of a cross.

God is working in you both to will and to work

Letter of Philippi teaches, that God influences to us in both to will and to work for the sake of His good pleasure. This means that God influences through the Holy Spirit and His word to you in righteous life. Grace of God changes man who is practising a sin, for a man to whom comes the servant of God. Like this we can live righteous life from grace of the great God.

Mutual love

Believers have also called to suffer the mockery of the Messiah from the people of this world. Believers must be outside of sin, which is in this world. Believers have to comfort each other’s for the love of Yeshua (Jesus) and to stay with mutual love with one another. Believer has cordial and charitable heart. Congregation is called to have same mind from the word of God, because there is one word of God, not two or three and not many different gospels, but one gospel. Believers must have same love, and they must have peace with each other and to stay with one mind. Believers are not allowed to be selfish neither requestors for the honour of people. Believers’ keeps in humility another better than him.

Mind of Yeshua (Jesus)

God wants to affect believers similar mind as was in Yeshua (Jesus) and the mind of Yeshua (Jesus) was similar as the will of the Father is. Yeshua (Jesus) emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, having become in the likeness of man, and He was obedient to His Father until the death. This is an example also to believers to be obedient to God until the death.

Notice that flesh of a man can't affect to will and work in his heart, but it is the mission of God. Our mission is to receive this God’s influenced will and work. How does the God affect will and work in believers’ heart? God influences will and work through Spirit and word of God. God opens to his word to a man, so that man can understand what is the will of God and after that the Holy Spirit gives to believer a power to life righteous life. Believers are called to preach gospel to this world that people could be saved from the power of sin and Satan to childhood of God. Believers don't need to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and by petition with thanksgivings, let your requests be made known to God, which hold from his child very good and lovely care.
